Blair Atholl Highland Games

A day of tradition, movement and gathering at Blair Atholl.

The Blair Atholl Highland Games brought together competitors, pipers, dancers, families, visitors and familiar faces around the field. There was a steady rhythm to the day - people arriving, watching, talking, moving between moments, and taking in the atmosphere of the Games.

This project follows the event as it felt from the ground: the faces in the crowd, the colours of tartan, the details around the field, and the small pauses between the larger moments.

Blair Atholl gives the Games a strong sense of place. The village, the castle, the Atholl Highlanders, the pipes and the surrounding hills all add to the character of the day.
